"What hackers are realizing is that there are so many ways to get information out of an enterprise. As people get wise to them, hackers are adapting," says Richard Bejtlich, a former captain for the Air Force CERT and founder of consultancy TaoSecurity. He cautions businesses to focus on egress filtering as a means to monitor packets that leave your network. "Pay attention to what is leaving your company," Bejtlich says.
